Here are the award recipients for the Adidas Gauntlet Qualifier Dallas

DALLAS, TX - We conclude The Adidas Gauntlet Qualifier Dallas with awards to the top performers, all-tournament team and the most outstanding player. Here are the top players who were selected below.

TOP PERFORMANCES

Shannon Robinson | 6'4" 2020 SF | Urban DFW

The explosive wing Shannon Robinson, put on a dunking exhibition on multiple occasions this past weekend. Robinson is a two-way player that can score double figures and also lock down the opposing teams best perimeter player.

Quinntez Grimes | 6'7" 2020 PF | Urban DFW

Grimes is a chiseled forward that has good athleticism and is a solid finisher around the paint. Grimes showcased his bounce and ability to grab rebounds and block shots.

Jestin Porter | 5'10" 2020  PG | Team Harden

The Houston guard has good handles and nice speed with the ball in his hands. In the championship game versus Basketball University, Porter hit multiple threes and got to the second level of the defense where he found open teammates near the basket.

Mike Chandler | 6'0" 2020 PG | Yes II Success

Chandler was hard to contain from getting to the cup and he used his body well for tough finishes.

Journee Phillips | 6'2" 2020 SG | YES II Success

Phillips was one of the best scorers in this tournament. The off-ball guard knows how to penetrate the open gaps in the defense and is a capable shooter.

17U ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

 Joshua Cooper | 5'11" 2020 PG | Basketball University

Cooper was dominant in every game he played in. He can score on multiple levels and will elevate over defenders with bad intentions in mind.

Tyler Simon | 6'4" 2021 PG | Basketball University

Simon is poised and always under control when he is at the lead guard spot. He is a good shooter off the catch which allows him to play at the two if needed, but he's definitely at his best when he is at the point guard spot creating for others.

Deuce Guidry | 5'6" 2020 PG | Team Harden

Guidry may be small but, he has the ability to put up big time numbers. Guidry shot the ball well off the bounce all weekend long.

Marcus Williams | 6'2" 2020 SG | Team Harden

Williams is a good scoring guard that can fill it up when he gets in a zone. He was one win away from being named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

Wade Taylor | 5'11" 2021 PG | Urban DFW

Taylor was phenomenal all weekend for his squad. The fast point guard got to the basket at will and shot the ball well from behind the arc.

STOCK RISERS

Jonathan Ochoa | 6'4" 2020 SG | Yes II Success

Ochoa was the glue guy for his team this weekend. He shot the ball at a solid rate and when he wasn't spotting up for threes, he was cutting to the rim where his teammates found him for easy baskets.

Eyan Gooden | 6'2" 2020 SG | Urban DFW

Gooden is an athletic guard that gets out well in transition and is a streaky shooter.

John Shanu | 6'9" 2020 C | Basketball University

Shanu is an active big man that rebounds well and blocks shots.

Mykell Robinson | 6'6" 2020 SF | Team Harden

Robinson is a super bouncy wing that has a college-ready body and a solid perimeter game.

KJ Pruitt | 6'4" 2020 SG | Urban DFW

Pruitt is a jack of all trades at the guard spot. He has a good playmaker and is a tough on-ball defender.

Marcus Brown | 6'5" 2020 PF | Basketball University

Brown is a blue-collar four that has a high motor and plays the game with grit on the interior.

Ange Dibwa | 6'10" 2020 C | Urban DFW

Dibwa was manhandling players on the inside by using his strong body to carve space.

Daylan Hamilton | 6'3" 2020 SG | Team Harden

The Houston shooter was lighting the gym up from multiple areas on the floor. Hamilton should see his recruitment rise if he continues to hit shots.

Ja Robertson| 6'7" 2020 PF | Team Harden

Robertson was the biggest surprise of the tournament and left me speechless on Saturday night when he had a dunk over a defender that caused an instant uproar. Robertson has not yet tapped into his full potential, but the big man has the physical ability and length to help someone's college program.

Ramondo Battle | 6'7" 2020 PF | YES II SUCCESS

Battle is a versatile forward that can shoot it from the perimeter and can take slower defenders off the bounce.

MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER

Breon Thompson | 6'6" 2020 SF | Basketball University

Thompson could not be contained by anyone in the gym. The three-star forward was getting to the cup at will and exploding above the rim for crowd-pleasing dunks. Thompson is a capable shooter that can make jumpers from 19 feet and in.  If Breon Thompson continues to play like this for the remainder of the AAU season, he will see his recruitment pick up.
