Hoover, Alabama - It has been three strong days here at the 2019 Adidas Summer Championships in Hoover, Alabama. In the last two days, bracket play has begun and today began the round of 16 and elite 8 matchups for all divisions. Below you can find the top performers from day three, top games, and an update on the current standings.

Top Performers

2020 F PJ Hall - Upward Stars (SC)

The 6-foot-9 forward arguably had one of the best performances of the day here on day three in Hoover. The rising senior finished with a dominating 27 points and 14 rebounds against the Atlanta Celtics (GA). Hall displayed his high versatility in front of a plethora of college coaches. He holds a soft touch around the basket, was able to step out and knock down a few three's from the perimeter (5-8 from 3), and was a force on the glass. Hall has been solid throughout the weekend with Upward Stars (SC).

2020 G Caleb Murphy - Atlanta Celtics (GA)

One of the nations rising prospects that has been receiving much attention, Caleb Murphy was just on another level today and leading his squad to the semifinals tomorrow. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is an elite defender with shot making abilities and just plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor. Murphy is a complete glue guy. He holds great size at his position and is a determined driver that plays downhill getting to the rim.

UVA commit 2020 SG Carson McCorkle - Garner Road (NC)

Tony Bennett is certainly getting a good one in Mr. McCorkle. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard was super efficient in his two games today with Garner Road (NC). He averaged 16.5 points per game in his two games today. Carson is a reliable shot maker, will spread the floor with his perimeter shooting skills, and makes the right plays for his team consistently. He holds a nice form on his jumper and really impressed over the last two days here and in front of his future head coach Tony Bennett.

2020 SG Kerwin Walton - D1 Minnesota (MN)

Kerwin Walton was one of those players who arguably had the top performance of the day today. Kerwin hit ten three's in his matchup this morning against Team Loaded (NC) and followed that by hitting five three's in his matchup against Dream Vision (CA). He finished the day going an amazing 15-23 from beyond the arc. Walton has been shooting the lights out all weekend long here in Hoover. Iowa State has been the latest to offer the fantastic sharpshooter.

2021 F Jabari Smith Jr. - Atlanta Celtics (GA)

Top ranked rising junior Jabari Smith Jr. began the day with a solid performance in the Celtics double overtime win over Gamepoint Elite (CA). The 6-foot-9 forward was extremely aggressive defensively. He displayed his rim protector skills and was all over the glass this morning. Smith Jr. finished with a double-double along with a few blocks and all in front of Kansas head coach Bill Self and other college coaches from schools like Georgia, Memphis, UNC, LSU, Virginia Tech, and others.

Top Games

The 17U matchup between Indiana Elite (IN) and the Atlanta Celtics (GA) was arguably the best matchup of the day here on day three. This was an elite 8 matchup between two of Adidas best grassroots programs. The Celtics held the momentum going into the half and were up by 12. In the second half, Indiana Elite guards 2021 PG Khristian Lander and 2020 SG Trey Galloway took over. Indiana Elite came on strong in the second half and took the lead at the midway point. This matchup bought a point guard battle between Lander and 2020 PG Deivon Smith of the Atlanta Celtics (GA). The Celtics eventually won the back-and-forth affair in overtime 59-55.
